2204A or 2205A for audio measurement ?

Post by hifik »

Hi, I would like to buy on of that devices : 2204A or 2205A.
I need to use it only for audiotest measurements (audio amplifiers, preamps etd.).

1) frequency responses
2) measurement of the slew rate (amplifiers etc.)
3) measurements of devices stability etc.

Are the menntioned devices (2204A, 2205A) enough for this purposes ? I am not sure, if both devices are enough quick
for slew rate measurements :-)

The 2204A or 2205A would be fine for the general audio measurements you mentioned. 2200 series specs-

I would expect the 2204A would be fine for slew rate measurements it has a Analogue bandwidth of 10MHz and a sample rate of 100MS/s (one channel enabled).
If you do need to do noise and precision harmonics measures (spectrum mode) I would recommend the 4262(16-bit)-
