Problems with picoscope SW

Postby arielmedina » Tue Jun 21, 2005 1:59 pm

Hi,

I was using a 3205 with 5.11.8 version under both W98 and XP.
When I open a ruler video problems starts to appear: The line trace of the ruler changes, the colours of channel are lost and turned to black, The tool bar of windows change to hiden aspect and in general the system is very unstable so is very difficult and slow to work under these conditions.
Could you advise some to solve this problem?
I found the same behaviour in several machines, laptops and desktop and whit USB 2.0 and 1.1. Also appears prblems when I add a higher number of samples per scope trace.

Best regards

Hi

Thank you for your post.

This was a software bug - we have since fixed this and if you use version 5.12.7 from our website then you should not see this problem again.

Hope this helps

Hi,

I was using the new version and I can see that it works very well. So, if I increase the maximun samples per scope trace, up to 800000 or 1x10 6, and then I use COPY AS TEXT function the PSW crash and gives this message:
PSW32 provocó un error de página no válida en el
módulo PSW32.EXE de 017f:0040708e.

Hi

Thank you foryour post.

I will need to pass this on to our software department for them to look into as I do not know myself why this might be happening.

Does it only happen with this number of samples? Does it happen every time you copy to text?

Best Regards
Sarah

Hi

Thank you for your post.

The 3205 has a buffer of 512k and so 700000 is exceeding that limit. This might be why it is crashing. The maximum number you can realistically put in is 512000.

Best Regards
Sarah
