9th databit serial RS232 decoding

Post by hans_dampf0_0 »

Hello,

I am using

PicoScope® 6 - PC-Oszilloskop-Software Version: 6.10.16.2
Copyright © 1995-2015, Pico Technology Ltd

Modell: PicoScope 3405B
Seriennummer: CY056/015
USB-Version: 2,0
Kalibrierungsdatum: Montag, 22. April 2013
Hardwareversion: 1
Treiberversion: 1.4.4.51
Firmwareversion: 1.3.3.0 / 1.0.6.0

I am tried to decode a RS232 Signal with

Baud Rate: 1,536 Mbaud
Threshold 1 is at 1,65V (Threshold2 not used)
Advanced Settings:
Decoding Graph section: Whole trace
Parity: None
Protocol Bit Order: LSB first
Packet Start Edge: Falling
Data Bits: 9
Parity Bits: 0
Stop Bits: 1

The signal fits to this adjustments, but only 8 bits will be decoded and displayed in hex and binary.
I tried the same thing with my agilent DSO7014B and the decoding of the 9th databit was ok.

Can anybody help me out?

Hello,
We do have serial decoding issues with the newer versions of picoscope. Development is currently working fixing and improving all of the serial decoding features.
I hope we will release an update of picoscope with the serial decoding protocols working. Hopefully a beta version will be available soon.
Can you email in a psdata file into support@picotech.com, and we can take a look at the issue.
File menu -> save -> enter file name (file type should be set on psdata)

Hello Andrew,

I sent you the file but as I tried to reload it, the serial decoding was lost.

Is there any older Picoscope Software Release, who works with RS232 9th databit decoding?
