Signal Generator to use a stored Scope File Waveform?

Post by Newtonez »

It would be very useful to me in my present assignment, [Faraday Cup Instrument of Solar Probe Plus] if I could cause the analog ouput of the signal generator channel of my scope to trace a stored waveform, earlier recorded on a PicoScope channel. Is this possible? If not, is it reasonable that someone in the software topic of the forum could write the software to make it happen?

Hi,

If the device has an AWG you will be able to output the stored waveform.

Please note that all the device have a limit on the number of points the AWG can output.
So if your signal requires more points than is available, you will not be able to replicate the stored signal.

Please note if you download the software and run it in demo mode you can have a look at the way the AWG pulls in the data. (https://www.picotech.com/downloads)
