Signal generator level

Postby hdrobien » Mon Dec 01, 2014 12:52 pm

Hi

I own a Picoscope 2203 that I am very pleased with.

However, I wonder why I can not go below 250 mV level with the signal generator.

I would also appreciate the possibility to set level as RMS, not amplitude.

Regards.

Hi,

The 250mV limit was by design.

I have been advised by members of the Development Team that this has been looked at. A fix should be available in a future release of the driver and PicoScope 6 but I cannot advise on timescales at the present moment.

I will put forward a feature request for the level to be set as an RMS value - you should be able to calculate this in the meantime.

Hi hdobrien,

Not at the present moment - are you able to adjust the amplitude according to the desired RMS value?

Hi hdobrien,

This has been fixed - please download the latest PicoScope 6 software (6.11.10) from our Downloads page or via the Help -> Check for Updates... option in the software.

I have Picoscope 3406D MSO. Is it now possible for signal generator to go below 250mV? Please let me know.

Hi Pradeep,

Yes, this is possible.

One way to check this (if using the SDK as you are doing) is to test using the PicoScope 6 software.
