Probe not working right?

Postby sbirkenstock » Sun Nov 23, 2014 7:28 pm

Hi Everybody,

got a PicoScope 4262 and two Hameg x100 probes (HZ53).
Some results were funny and I put both probes to the same spot just to test.
I got a sine wave here, fluxuating from -1,5V to +1,5V.
One probe shows this correctly, the other one shows it going from about -4V to +2V.
I rebooted, still the same.
I exchanged the probes on the PicoScope, and the problem seems to be with the probe.
So one probe shows the wrong results working as the A or the B probe, the other one is correct in A and B.
Is the proble simply broken or is there anything else I can do?

Best regards,

Stephan

If the PicoScope 6 / 4262 is set up the same and the problem follows the probe, then I would suspect the probe or it's cable/connector.
