Plot total power in spectrum mode

Post by tec »

Hello,

i would like to ask if it is possible in the skectrum mode, to give out a plot of the power in a defined frequency range, instead just schowing a number.
And i can save the power measurment in a file for further analysis?
Also, is it possible to trigger the power measurment externaly and to define the measurment lenght of it?

I intend to use PicoScope like in the Zero-Span mode of a spectrumanalyser.

greetings,

tec

I have had looked calculating, power of AM signal.
You may be able to setup math channels to do power calculations.
There are now band pass filters functions you can apply to the signal
Tools -> math channels -> create ….
I am not sure if picoscope will be able to do the calculations, you want
See mains power cal- http://www.picotech.com/applications/ma ... lysis.html

Saving signal traces see (you save all the buffers if needed)
File menu -> save -> enter file name (file type should be set on psdata)

Selected models have external trigger inputs, which you could use with delayed trigger?

Also look at Spectrum Mode on page 131 of-
http://www.picotech.com/document/pdf/psw6.en-37.pdf

You can download software and run it demo mode, you may be able to set up AM signal in demo mode.
