Control 6403A using Matlab

Post by Toni »

Hi,

As far as I know, you provide SDKs for 2000, 3000 and 5000 series allowing the control from Matlab. Will you release 6000 series Matlab driver in the future? Or at the moment can I use 5000 Matlab driver to activate a 6000 scope? I have tried to install 5000 Maltlab driver but there are too many different error messages show and they are confusing. If this is possible, could you please publish a post that showing us how to install and use the MATLAB driver for 6000 series step by step? Thanks very much. :D

Hi Toni,

An Instrument Driver package is planned for the PicoScope 6000 series.

In the meantime, you can call the API functions directly which for data collection will return raw data in ADC counts.

There is a post that provides some guidance:

Please e-mail support@picotech.com and we will be able to provide some additional files to get you started. Please indicate whether you are using a 32- or 64-bit version of MATLAB and which mode of data collection you require.

Update: There is now a Beta release of the Instrument Driver for the PicoScope 6000 Series:
