Frequency Response Measurement

Post by dreaquil » Mon Aug 18, 2014 6:08 pm

Is it possible to measure the frequency response using an external function generator (for increased bandwidth)? I have a Picoscope 2204A

The spectrum analyzer (2204A scope+software) has a range from DC to the effective bandwidth of the scope (10 MHz), so I see no reason why not. There are some pretty inexpensive DIY function generators available on Ebay that use DDS to generate sine well above 10 MHz.
