ADC16 and USB
ADC16 and USB
I have been using ADC16 for a number of years. I currently have a problem with the PC to which the ADC16 is connected, (serial port COM1), and I need to connect the ADC16 to a laptop while I sort out the problem. However, the laptop already has a device connected to the serial port, and the only input available is a USB socket. I have a serial to USB cable, but I need to know if the ADC16 can be connected to Picolog via a USB port, or do I need additional software/hardware? (OS XP Prof basic)

Re: ADC16 and USB
Hi B Burton,
You can connect the ADC-16 via USB to Serial adaptor.
In the Windows Device Manager, expand the Ports (COM & LPT) entry and look for the USB - Serial adaptor. It should have a COM port number assigned to it.
When you connect to the device in PicoLog, select the required COM port number and click 'OK'.
Hope this helps.
