PicoScope 6 EventType clr20r3

Postby AEROSONICIT » Fri Jul 11, 2014 1:01 pm

When ever I launch the program, I encounter the following error:

Error signature

EventType : clr20r3 P1 : picoscope.exe P2 : 6.8.11.20 P3 : 5332c18f
P4 : mscorlib P5 : 2.0.0.0 P6 : 4889dc80 P7 : 183 P8 : 184
P9 : system.io.filenotfoundexception

This is a windows XP PC, I downloaded the current drivers for PicoScope 6 and did a .NET repair as suggested in another thread describing this error. Not sure what to try next

With an Administrator account go to the folder

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG

Delete the file web.config

Copy web.config.default to web.config

Finally delete all the .cch files you find in the directory, these are the compiled versions of the .config files used to speed up applications, they will get recreated the next time you run a program that requires them.

Repair/Update the .NET Framework would be the suggested course of action, don't assume that because it is installed, and up to date, that it is working correctly.
