Dinamic Data exchange

Post by cristina »

hello,
I am using DDE to pass data from Pico to Excell, but my problem is that Excell takes the data and put it on the old data Pico took before,i wonder if it would be possible for me to collect data from pico in real time but not to eliminate the data i took a few seconds before?
thanks

Sarah

Hi Cristina

Thank you for your post.

The DDE will always replace the previous readings with the new ones. If you want to log them in a way that keeps the readings you can either write your own software in Excel, or you can record in Picolog and then transfer the readings.

As I explained in a previous post, Excel has a limit of around 65000 per column, therefore you may need to have several columns in order to fit them all in.

Hope this helps

Best Regards
