4424 - Unsupported device (Win XP)

Post by Fuzz »

Somehow deleted my post I think, so I'll try again.
Having some issues installing a 4424 scope on an old laptop running 32 bit Windows XP. It does have Net 2.0 installed and is above "minimum requirements" for ram and processor.
6.8.11.20 automotive software installs and runs fine
Scope driver installs correctly and laptop recognises it as a series 4000 scope.
However the software when run says "the 4424 is an unsupported device"

What do I try next?
Already un-installed everything, re-downloaded everything and tried again. Same result.

The 4424 is one of our Test and Measurement Scopes, it does not work with the Automotive Software. Please download the latest T&M software from http://www.picotech.com/software.html and you should find it works.

For automotive use you would need the 4423.

oof :(
Cheers for the reply. I had a niggling suspicion this might be the case after going over the legacy software when trying those just before lunch.
Oh well, I shall have to buy one instead of borrowing a mates
