I am checking out he pico scope for field repair techs. Will the picoscope software run on a tablet using the usb/charge port?

Some customers have had success with Win7 Pro and Windows 8 (not the RT version)

it will not work with Android or Ipad.

Is there any thought being given to an Android version?

I'd guess not, and if that is the case, would it be possible to get documentation on the USB interface layer? So something like libusb could be used to control the Picoscope, if someone wanted to explore that? (Obviously API documents on the DLL interface layer are of no use in that context.)

Thanks.

Hi Mark,

The thought has been given... ;) Use of libusb would require rooting the device and that is not what average Android user would want to do (unless he is an owner of the cheapo tablets, that come rooted already). However, If you look here topic14421.html , we are already working on drivers supporting ARM based devices. Once those are released, someone may pick the correct binary and use it within Android OS (it is still Linux kernel) and access the device using standard API.
