Can I operate the picoscope using win 8.1 ?

Post by mino »

Hello,

I want to operate the picoscope 2207 in my Dell Venue 8 pro.
I installed the latest version of the Picoscope6 in my tablet.
But it cannot detect my picoscope 2207.

I thinked the power of micro USB port is too low to work it.
So I give additional power using usb hub. But it didn't work also.

I think the driver of picoscope don't support win 8.1.
Please let me know how I can operate my oscilloscope with win 8.1.

Thanks.

Thanks Martyn.

I already read that but it seems to operate win 7 pro and win 8, not win 8.1.
And what means "the standard T&M version"?
I think "Automotive software" means Picoscope6...

We have "Picoscope 6" and "Picoscope 6 Automotive" although under the hood they are very similar, just the devices that can run with them are different, the automotive version is for working on vehicle electrics.

8.1 to 8.0 should not cause a problem, so can you contact support@picotech.com as we will need to get some trace files that contain system information.

Is there a way to use PicoScope 6 automotive software with a PicoScope 2207 and the correct automotive probes?

I am mainly interested in testing ignition circuits, Pickups, sensor outputs, primary coil current and coil output voltage.

The 2207 is not one of our Automotive Scopes, and as such it will not work with the Automotive Software.

We do not recommend using our Test and Measurement scopes for automotive tests, they don't have the improved input protection, and it is likely that you will damage them if you try to do so. Such damage would void any warranty.
