pico log freezing

Post by esyron »

Hi,
I am running a USB1216 to collect signals from various tranducers, but on the computer which is recording the data the Picolog software seams to freeze randomly.

The computer is a Dell Inspiron running windows 7.

I have not had this issues with any other PC.

I have also uninstalled picolog and reinstalled it again, but it seams to be an issue with this PC.

Thanks for any help.

Eoin

It sounds as if the power to the device from the USB port is borderline and the driver is losing connection. You could try using

File->Preferences->AutoReconnect

to restablish the connection.

If you don't have this option try upgrading to R5.23.0 which can be downloaded from http://www.picotech.com/software.html

This sounds like a loss of connection between the 1216 and the driver, which could be caused by power.

Are there any other devices using the USB ?
Are you using a blue Pico USB cable ?
What collection settings are you using ? Please post a settings file if you can.
