Demo software issues

Postby ithertz » Wed Feb 12, 2014 1:01 pm

There are several videos on YouTube by Picotech that show really interesting features in Picoscope 6.
I am using demo s/w 6.7.37.33 and most of these features are not to be found.
As it is the demo software is not a great advert for the product.

Is there any way to get some representative software to tryout?

Hi,

Which features are you interested in?

You can download the PicoScope 6.8 Release Candidate from our website:

http://www.picotech.com/software.html

In step 1, select a product e.g. PicoScope 3204A and in step 2, select the option for PicoScope R6.8.6 (RC).

I hope this helps.

I tried to d/l 6.8 but the page just ignores the request.
Perhaps a scope needs to be connected.
Catch 22?

There is a video on You tube showing the 'new' features of 6.7.
These include a well featured sig gen/AWG and streaming functions.
These do not appear in the 6.7.37.33 demo s/w.

The purpose of the demo version is to give a general look and feel of the software, it is not intended to show everything that the software can do.

The videos provide a middle ground and show the actual software features in operation with a real scope and actual signals. However for customers who need to actually try the scope in their specific environment, and with their signals, we offer a 14 day return guarantee http://www.picotech.com/orderinfo.html#warranty in case the product does not meet their expectations.

You do not need a scope to download the software, and the links appear to be working, so if you are having issues then please contact support@picotech.com and we can provide an alternative location for you to download the software from.
