Averaging

Postby saul » Thu Feb 06, 2014 11:11 pm

I just started up my new 5443B, my first PC based scope. I have been searching for an averaging feature, that is signal by signal averaging as you find in most stand-alone DSO's. The low pass filter function is very nice but we have a lot of in-band noise we need to average out.

You can find this through Tools->MathsChannels to bring up the maths channel dialog, and then Create->Advanced and you will see the average function button. Press this, add the channel and complete the dialog and you will have a new trace on the screen showing the averaged signal.
