CAN decoding H or L only?

Post by GregerG »

Hey guys!
I'm wondering if its possible to decode CAN data using one channel only?
I know the benefits of seeing both lines but I'm not fault-finding here and only interested in decoding the data,
and my 3205 has a busted input channel.
Since CAN H/L are just (if working properly) an inverse of each other - it should be possible by just setting the
trigger level correctly?
Or will the software refuse to decode with only one channel activated?

Or is it maybe possible to add an inverse math channel to 'trick' it?

It's for decoding 500 and 125kbit automotive can bus...

Cheers!

It will decode on one leg of the signal.
