PicoScope 5244B and MATLAB. Trouble getting started

Postby RobE » Tue Nov 05, 2013 11:23 am

Hi,
I just got hold off a PicoScope 5244B and I am trying to get it working with the instrument control toolbox in MATLAB (64bit). I have downloaded the appropriate MATLAB Generic Instrumnet Driver and copied the 64bit dll. I put all the files and functions on the MATLAB path but I cannot get past this error:

Error in PS5000A_IC_Generic_Driver_Block (line 45)
ps5000aDeviceObj = icdevice('picotech_ps5000a_generic.mdd');

Probably missed something obvious, any ideas?

Thanks, Rob

Hi Rob,

Do you have the Windows SDK 7.1 installed?

Have you run mex -setup to configure MATLAB with the above compiler?

Please can you e-mail support@picotech.com - the new SDK is due to be uploaded but in the meantime I can provide you with the additional files you need.

Regards,
Hitesh
