Emw32.exe on com15 and up encounters a problem and closes.

Hi,

The Enviromon software opens successfully but when I configure the data logger into the PC and I try to find the right serial port from the drop down list, an error message pops up when I reach com15 and up saying, "emw32.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Please help asap. Thank you

Can you use device manager and try changing the COM port number allocated by windows so that it is below COM 9.

I take it you have a USB to serial port converter.

Open up windows device manager ControlPanel->System->DeviceManager and open up the section Ports (COM & LPT). Find the COM port you are using and rightclick it, select Properties->PortSettings->Advanced and then change the COM port number.
