Transfer Time for parallel Port / USB

Post by josc »

Hello,

we need an Oscilloscope funktion in an automated environment, therefore no display is needed. One Key attribute is speed.

My Question: How long does it take to transfer one shoot to PC?

Thanks in Advance.

cu Jochen.

Hi

Thank you for your post.

Which unit are you interested in? The transfer time depends on the unit, if you can tell me which one you are interested in then I can provide you with more information.

Best Regards

Transfer Time for parallel Port / USB

Post by josc »

Hi,

we need to measure a signal with 7MHz compared to a 2nd Signal for trigger and Start for Time Measure. Any Device which meets this Spec while measuring and transmitting very Quick could be used.

Thanks

Hi

Thank you for your post.

The quickest scopes we have are our PS3000 series. As these are USB interfaced devices they are much quicker than the parallel ones.

For a signal of 7MHz you would be able to use the PS3204 as this has a spectrum bandwidth of 25MHz.

The download time of the PS3000 series depend on the computer setup. If you use USB2 and have an Intel chipset then you could achieve a download of 4MB/s.

Hope this helps

Best Regards
