accuracy of ruler values

Post by bennog »

When using the ruler in large data sets the ruler values are not accurate. See below picture

Image

Both ruler values display the same time value while half a screen away from each other.
When documenting the signal it would be nice say look at -261,02 sec ore even with better precision.

Is there a way to make the ruler more in line with the screen layout at the moment.

Regards,
Benno

Can you check this with the Beta version of the software http://labs.picotech.com/ which will shortly be upgraded to a formal release candidate. I believe it addresses these points although I don't have your data file to be able to confirm it.

OK I can see that now.
If you are in and around the trigger point then the values do show to a number of significant digits but as you come further away the values are too big to display in the text boxes, and as such are need to show position relative to the trigger point, the delta value will be scaled appropriately.
