3206-MSO increase display left margin

Postby blachanc » Fri Feb 15, 2013 3:20 pm

3206-MSO increase display left margin:

Hi,

I am using a 3206-MSO with a Raspberry PI & gertboard.

I renamed my digital channels to:

BUF1 (D0)
..
BUF7 (D6)

Unfortunately, in picoscope, I only see BUF (I need to hover over the
signal to see the full name "BUF1:D0"),
and I did not find a way to increase the margin size.

Is it possible to increase the margin width, to display the full name of
the signal ?

Regards,

Ben

Hi,
could I get some feedback from PICO on this question please?

I understand that this might not be possible at the moment
but it would be a nice feature.

Ex, let the user chose the margin size between 3-8 char display.
snapshots of the waveform would be more meaningful when shared with
other people.
please refer to the example below.

Thank you,
Ben

It is not possible at the present time although we are looking at the display interface as we consider the impact of the touchscreen orientated Windows 8. I will pass on your comments to the development team.

Hy Martyn,

Got It,
I work all day long with RTL(vhdl/verilog) simulator,
so I am used to be able to rename signals & display the modified name.

Hopefully this feature will be added, but I understand
that it may be too difficult to implement.

Hi,
Should I consider this suggested improvement as dead?

Thanks,

No it is on the list, so I have raised the profile of this for a features meeting the team are holding later this week.
