Picoscope 4262 Low Pass Filter?

Post by audio_jim »

Hi,

I have a question regarding the Picoscope 4262, I noticed in the probe setup that you can add a low pass filter, I think I also spotted it when using the oscilloscope mode.

Does the LPF have any effect when in the spectrum analyser mode?

Also when adding measurements, I noticed the filter section is always greyed out, I take it that is for another model?

Thanks,
Jim.

Hi Jim,

Low pass filtering is a software mechanism in PicoScope 6 this is only used in the scope mode, for more information please refer to the manual under section 7.2.1.2

http://www.picotech.com/document/pdf/psw6.en-26.pdf

The 4262 itself has a hardware 200kHz bandwidth limiter which can be accessed in both the spectrum and scope mode. Are you using a custom probe? Could you send me your psdata file?
