2205 Scope/Function Generator

Post by GleasonL » Thu Jan 17, 2013 12:48 am

Can you explain the clicking sound the 2205 scope makes when the oscilloscope 6 software is launched and makes repetitively when acquiring a stable signal after the auto scale function is selected?

The 2205 series scopes have relays which switch between the high and low voltage ranges on each channel. During auto setup, the scope tries various settings in order to decide on the best, hence the clicking noises as the gain is changed.
