Pico ADC 20

Post by moe bull »

If an accelerometer is connected to a data logger such as the the ADC 20, does the sensor need to be powered externally or is it powered by the logger?

Hi,
The ADC-20 & ADC-24 loggers are not compatible with the accelerometers your describe (IEPE accelerometers), because the loggers are far too slow to respond to the high frequencies measured. The loggers can only respond to a few Hz at most.

What you require is one of our dedicated IEPE oscilloscopes and matching IEPE accelerometers:-

http://www.picotech.com/picoscope4000-a ... html#TA095

This two channel scope can accept input from any IEPE compliant accelerometer and it can also supply the necessary power to energise it.
Please contact me again if you have any other questions.
Regards,
PeterF.
