PicoLog 1216 Digital Outputs

Post by JCD » Sat Dec 22, 2012 8:57 pm

The only info I found about the use of the PicoLog 1216 Digital Outputs was in the Programmers Guide manual.
Let me know if there is more offered somewhere hidden in the Support part of your website.

Is there no way for PicoTech to include this in the PicoLog data logging software?
It could be in the same style as the existing Trigger menu: choose trigger source (channel #), threshold etc. Can't be that difficult and it would absolutely enhance the versatility of the product.

Cheers,

Jean

Hi JCD,

There is some information on using the Digital Outputs as part of the Alarm settings feature in PicoLog - please refer to section 5.1.8.3 (Alarm settings) of the PicoLog software user guide:

http://www.picotech.com/document/pdf/plw.en-4.pdf

I believe the Digital Inputs cannot be used for the trigger with the software but you can with the SDK.

I hope this helps.

Hitesh,

Thank you for this information. The use of Digital Outputs as part of the Alarm settings escaped me in the manual.
Nice, I'll buy a 1216 to replace my old parrallel port ADC11.

Cheers,

Jean

Hi Jean,

No problem. You should be able to control the digital outputs through the PicoScope 6 software.

Best wishes,
