probe connection pico 2202

Post by cskarto »

Hello,
I have a picoscope 2202 and would like to measure the voltage directly and the current indirectly (via a shunt resistor) of a wind turbine BEFORE connecting it to a charge controller. The wind turbine gives a voltage of approx 18VDC with a max current of 30ADC and has a plus, minus and ground wire.

How should I make the connection with the probes to the picoscope? Which wire should I use as common?

Best regards.

Hi,

The best thing to do is to use a normal probe for your voltage, on x1 and then for the current use a current clamp like the

PP264 this can measure up to 60 A DC.

Kind regards
