Picoscope and VMWare

Post by braonm »

I use Linux primarily, but when I have to use Windows, I usually run it in a VM and it is pretty good.

For Picoscope however I get attached BSOD.
VMWare crashes with picoscope

Any chance there is an easy fix for this?

Also, the reasoning not to support linux is that there are so many flavors, but if you support debian style packages or something else sort of universal? If you had a version you did support, even if it wasn't my favorite, I'd make a VM for that to use your scope capture software without booting to actual windows.

Please let me know if there is an easy solution for me.

thank you so much!

Does this happen when you are trying to run the Picoscope6 software or when you are plugging the scope into the USB port ?

In respect of Linux support we do have drivers for a number of our scopes that would enable you to capture data. Which Picoscope do you have ?
