Pico Log 1216 & Circuit Board

Post by James.baskerville »

Hi,
I`m currently developing a machine where a blade passes through two light beam sensors which are attached to two amplifiers. I am hoping to pick up a signal using the picoscope so that I can accurately measure the speed of the blade as it passes through the two beams. The voltage is 24V dc, looking through your manual I can reduce this to under 2.5V using the potential divider Vadc = (Vin x R2) / (R1+ R2). Am I correct by using (24 x 1000) / (10000 + 1000)= 2.18V dc.?
According to the diagram in the manual would I take +24V to connection C1 & 0V to ground connection?
