Clarification on Picoscope 3000 range

Post by mike_ims »

The spec sheet for the picoscope 3000 claims the ranges are...
10 mV to 2 V/div
The "/div" is the confusing part for me.

Quite a few similar picoscopes (adc100, 200, 212) have ranges of...
±50 mV to ±20 V in 9 ranges
Can I infer that the picoscope 3000 series has ranges from ±10 mV to ±2 V in X ranges?

Thanks,
-Mike

Hi Mike

Thank you for your post.

The /div reference in the specifications refers to the oscilloscope display screen in the software. The screen is divided up into 10 equal divisions just as traditional oscilloscope displays are. Therefore, 2V/div gives a range of ±20V as an input range.

So the input ranges of the PS3000 series are ±100mV to 20V in 8 ranges.

Hope this helps

Best Regards
