Measurement problems on 3406B

I seem to have problems with the measurement on the 3406B. I am using PicoScope 6.6.50.3. The setup is watching a single channel A only, 500 us/div, 5 volt range, channel A on the compensation signal from the scope, so it is about 1 kHz. Trigger at 1 V in middle of display. I then enabled two measur...

3406B memory seems to be 64 M, not 128 Meg.

I have a new 3406B, and I can't seem to get all the sample memory to work. I am using PicoScope 6.6.50.3. If I use a single channel at 100 ms/div, and ask for 200 MS, I get 62,500,005 samples at 62.5 MS/s. If I enable a second channel, still at 100 ms/div, I get 31,250,005 samples at 31.25 MS/s. If ...

Part of display trace missing for channel C

I have a 4424 displaying 2 channels, A and C. I only get part of the C channel displayed. How much displays depends on the contents of the A channel. See attached display. Is this normal?

Re: Time between pulses on two inputs

I have a 3424, and for the measurement you want, just set it to 100 mS/div, 2 M samples. It will use streaming mode and sample at 1 MS/s, giving 1 Meg samples for each channel, recording 4 channels at a time. A bit better resolution, and much longer capture. You can also do 200 mS/div, and get 1 MS/...

Re: Funny graphics in zoom mode

I have uploaded a video of this problem: http://screencast.com/t/ICv0gLLdJF I played with it some more, and have some clarification to get it to happen. I had not mentioned steps 4 and 5 before, but they must be done to get it to happen. Setup as follows: 1) 500 kHz square wave. 2) 200 uS/Div. 3) x8...

Funny graphics in zoom mode

I get some strange graphics updates of my waveform when I am in zoom mode on my 3424 (using 6.5.42 on XP). To reproduce, just capture a 500 kHz to 1 MHz square wave at 200 uS/div with 50k samples, then zoom to X8. Now move your mouse over the square at the lower left (or lower right, depending on wh...

Re: Resolution enhance interaction with Sin(X)/X interpolati

That does appear to be the same. I put a video up also, to show the problem when I do it: http://screencast.com/t/OTllMDdkMzA This shows another display problem that seems to have appeared also. The second half of this shows the problem I talked about. BTW, I just loaded Jing, which I discovered fro...

Re: Resolution enhance interaction with Sin(X)/X interpolati

Hi Ziko, My version is 6.4.64.0 I have attached the psdata file of when it occurred. I also experimented a bit more, and found that as soon as I saved the psdata file, it fixed itself! I tried it several times. The sequence to recreate is as follows: 1) Bring PicoScope up from icon on desktop (not a...

Resolution enhance interaction with Sin(X)/X interpolation

I seem to have a wierd problem where the resolution enhance feature does not always work when I have Sin(X)/X turned on. I have a 3424 set to 16 bit resolution. At first, I get no enhancement. If I then turn off the Sin(X)/X, the enhancement starts. Then sometimes, when I turn it back on, it stays e...

4424 or 4423, what is the difference?

Hi, I currently use your 2105 and 3424 products. I have a need for a new version that I think the 4424 or 4423 will work well for. I am considering one of the automotive kits, as I can use several of the items included. The scope would be used for general electronics probably a bit more than for aut...

PicoScope 6 settings files

I use PicoScope 6, and the only setting file I see is the "startup settings", of which there is only one. If I set that for the 3424, it is wrong for the 2105, and vice versa. Is there a way to get named settings files?

I am using PicoScope 6. Can I have both loaded at the same time? I thought I had to uninstall PicoScope 5 to get PicoScope 6.

Is there a plan to allow block mode for 200 mS or slower in the future for PicoScope 6?

Can you display the model number somewhere?

I have two PicoScopes, a 3424 and a 2105. I switch regularly between them. It would be nice it there was a way I could quickly tell which one is being used, like displaying the model number in the title bar. I know you can get it by entering "Help" --> "About PicoScope", but it would be nice to see ...

Slow sweep display problem with 2105

I am using the 2105 with PicoScope 6 and have problems when the sweep rate is 200 mS/div and slower. I have a repeating signal that I am trying to capture that comes by randomly about every 10 or 20 seconds. The preTrigger is set to 10%, "Repeat" mode. The display shows the first division only most ...
