Re: New scope does not power up initially

Here are two trace files. Thank you.

P.S. My coworker told me he had the same situation when he tried his on his home computer which is Linux.

Re: New scope does not power up initially

Correction. The light does not light up and the software does not see the scope. Technically I can't say that it is not powered.

New scope does not power up initially

When I first plugged in my 2207B MSO it would not power. The red light did not light. I tried several other ports and other USB cables to no avail. Then on a random attempt it did power. Now it powers continuously no matter the port or cable. I disconnect it and leave work. Tomorrow when I come in I...

Re: No 2000 series users guide

I read the quick start guide. The 3000 series users manual is far superior and satisfying. You see pictures of all the connections with descriptions. The 3000 users guide has the 'pinout' picture there showing the position of D15 through D0 and the 4 GNDs. Yes these are labeled on the pins, but when...

No 2000 series users guide

I have a new 2207B MSO. There is no available users guide like for other series. Thus I don't know the power requirements. I can't tell the mso pinout without hand sorting each io. Etc.

Will a guide be forthcoming?

AC to constant with mso protocol?

Having used multimeters I took it for granted that there would be a way to plot the RMS value of a signal. I change my meter to AC and the cycling data becomes constant. I always figured that's what coupling would do on a scope. I finally took the time to learn and realize that is not what coupling ...

Synchronize sampling between scopes

Is it possible to get two scopes to synchronize when they each take their samples? Maybe by using ext? Or is ext just a dumbed down analog channel?

Thanks!

Re: 2000B vs. 3000

Thanks Hitesh!

I've also learned that the 3000 series offers;

Can power externally and not through USB.
EXT trigger input.(non-MSO units)
Some MSO units have 4 channels.

2000B vs. 3000

I'm new to Picoscope and have been reviewing all of the stats for the last month or so. I'm a computer guy so mostly the MSO are the models I will use. I don't see a significant difference between the capabilities of the 3000 series vs the 2000B series. The 3000 seem to have double the memory for th...
