Re: Shouldn't opening a .psdata reveal that data file in Picoscope 7 ?

I wondered if something having to do with file associations and permissions. But having given everybody read and write permissions on this file and since clicking on .psdata loads Picoscope I can't image how. I've attached a screenshot of "Open With" tab from file manager. Do I remember you having a...

Re: Shouldn't opening a .psdata reveal that data file in Picoscope 7 ?

Thanks for replying Benno and Martyn. All of my .psdata files exhibit the same behavior and with these same files opening successfully using the open button from within Picoscope 7 I don't see how a file corruption issue. But I've attached a .psdata file. Are you either of you on Linux without scope...

Shouldn't opening a .psdata reveal that data file in Picoscope 7 ?

It doesn't for regardless of whether I say OK or Cancel to dialog for Connect Device. I can't imagine I need my scope plugged in to view a .psdata as I can open without scope using the open button in Picoscope 7. Seems to basic a feature so I'm guessing I'm missing something ?

Re: Mating cycle rating of D-sub connectors on 4444 ?

So support@picotech.com suggested socket savers for those also concerned about the mating cycle rating of a D-sub connectors on 4444. I purchased L-Com part#DGB9MF which seems appropriate, but the included jackscrews on this adapter isn't long enough to engage the fixed threaded holes on 4444. So ca...

Re: Can't maximize 7.0.83 on Ubuntu 20.04

FWIW, same is true for the latest beta version of 7. On a 13" display (Dell XPS 9310) with 1920x1200 resolution I find everything way too small to read. 200% scaling is provided by the OS, but I'm unable to maximize Picoscope 7 when running at this scale. Anybody know of a solution ? I did momentari...

Re: Can't maximize 7.0.83 on Ubuntu 20.04

it seems that setting display scale in Ubuntu Settings to anything larger 150% prevents maximize from working. At 175% Picoscope will launch maximized, but once unmaximized it can't be maximized again. At 200% Picoscope will launch much larger than display and cannot be maximized.

Understanding Thunderbolt 4 Power Delivery with Picoscope ?

Hi Forum. I have a 4444 and recently purchased a Dell XPS with Linux in part to have a better Picoscope experience. Little did I know that Picoscope 6 was unusable on a high-DPI display. But I'm now able to use latest version 7 beta on this machine and it already seems an improvement resolving sever...

Re: PicoScope application is unusable on high-DPI screens

I'm trying a new Linux laptop to hopefully remedy some of the assorted issues I'm experiencing with Windows and a 4444. I would appreciate knowing if there is a way I can increase the size of the icons in latest Picoscope for Linux. I've attached a screenshot for reference.

File name on printed copy of waveform ?

am I missing some obvious way to print the file name when printing .psdata file ? I'm in need of printing about 10 slightly different waveforms for comparison and would like to see the filename somewhere as it indicates different parameters.

Re: PicoScope retaining file handles ?

more examples of Picoscope not releasing file handles today. I confirmed that Picoscope app was not running when it happened. I'm sharing with other users in case Picoscope advises that I file a bug report ( I've given up on any changes being made PicoScope 6 ).

Understanding start and stop of waveform capture ?

Today I was using TA301 and 4444 to try to capture waveform with no trigger. I'd press play and see the waveform being painted on the display in real-time and then when I was finished capturing interesting part ( < 10s event on a 20s total collection time display ) I'd push the stop button and the c...

Occasional no reading with TA301 and 4444 ?

This is the third or fourth time using this combination that I've experienced no reading. Same DUT will show a waveform without issue ( 100A + on 1kA range ) and then without changing anything other than timebase no waveform appears. The channel in question continues to move across the display, but ...

PicoScope & 4444 reports incorrect current until restart

Bench tested old starter and new starter looking for differences as the ring gear was badly worn from bendix not fully engaging. First tests were old starter which worked without incident. Then test leads moved to new starter without a restart and the current values ( TA301 ) were seriously skewed (...
