Re: Oscilloscope Requirements for My Project

Ok a 15ns pulse means to just see a signal the square wave you would normally be looking at something around 250MHz bandwidth to give you a few harmonics for your fast edges. Since you don't need the fast edges you will need a bandwidth that's perhaps at least 50MHz at least since you are not too bo...

Re: Measuring 48 Khz square wave

Hi I cannot recreate this, you could take a video capture using jing, it records up to 5 mins, you can then upload the file to your account which can then be posted as a link: http://www.techsmith.com/jing.html In terms of products depending on how you are doing your measurements the 3400 series cou...

Re: Measuring 48 Khz square wave

Hi Janne, To measure a signal that has a typical rise time of 3-10ns you need to have a bandwidth that is high enough, the equations goes like this: Bandwidth = 0.35/ Rise time. Therefore Choosing the worst case scenario of 3ns, the bandwidth would have to be at least 117MHz. You would also need to ...

Re: Future request

Thank you for your post, as much as I would like to say we can do this, this is something that is not on our list of things to do. We provide a number of formats, including the mat lab binary format that is widely used. PicoScope 6 is proprietary software, we have our format that is only readable in...

Re: Oscilloscope Requirements for My Project

Using Matlab is not a problem really, you can write your own script or you can save your data in PicoScope 6 as a binary file.

In terms of hardware specification wise, you mention a 4.1ns wide pulse, is this going to be measured or is it just the 15ns pulse?

Kind regards

Re: EnviroMon and Windows 7

Hi yeah I did notice you did not have the double quotes and that's what I put on the post. What I put worked on my computer providing I created the folders you include. So it should still work.

Re: logger is not running

Hi I would try reprogramming the logger, failing that try doing a logload on the device to reset the firmware.

Re: EnviroMon and Windows 7

You will probably find that your files are saved in:

"C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Pico Technology\EnviroMon\reports "

where xxxxx is your user log in.

Re: Picolog

Hi using something like the PicoLog 1000 as I said before you would have to ensure your device is connected to your PC at all times. Providing you configure your settings accordingly logging for a week is achievable. The most reliable way is to use a remote data logger, like the EnviroMon, At the he...

Where have you placed the bat file? Try putting it in your EnviroMon folder if you haven't already.
