Thank you for your help.

How long do I need to keep the meter window open before it will show a reading? It's been open now for 15 minutes and is still blank. I have two other windows open: one scope, one spectrum.

Meter doesn't

When we first launched Picoscope (v5), the meter metered: it showed a voltage display. Now if it is launched, it stays blank and Picoscope slows down -- a lot. Scope and Spectrum are working fine (except for missing X and Y axes labeling, that's in another topic I posted earlier).

more missing labels

I need to correct my posting (above): the scope window does not display units for the X axis (i.e., time/div). The illustration in the manual for section 2.2 shows x-axis labeling. How can I turn that on?

Oh -- you mean the "Save Settings" that was right in front of me? Yeah -- thanks. Two followup questions: 1. After doing "Save Settings," will PS default to those the next time it launches? 2. How about File > Save As > Settings (.PSS)? The online Picoscope User Guide PDF doesn't mention this option...

Saving settings?

This should be easy. Once I have my settings set, can I save them as defaults for the next time the scope software launches? My old hardware scope had that functionality - knobs.

This is helpful. I often use Line sync on olde tyme oscilloscopes, something that is missing from the Picoscopes due, I expect, to the total lack of Mains AC in the scope to synch from. A cheap and easy solution would be to feed mains into the EXT input. With proper conditioning, of course. If the E...

How does wall-wart power supply break ground loops?

I know that if the Picoscope is connected via USB to a computer that is AC-Mains powered and earthed, and the device I am testing is also earthed to Mains, I have a ground loop. The manual says that the loop can be broken by using the wall-wart to power the Picoscope. I don't get how this breaks the...

Spectrum doesn't show labels or units for X or Y axes

While the oscilloscope window shows its X & Y axis labels and units, spectrum's window doesn't. Can't find in the Help how to turn them on.
