Re: Measuring digigal signals on MSO

Hi Pev, No you're not, the answer is easy only if you're familiar with the tool (and the Digital Channels are not accessible in the Standard Measurements menu). So, you can use the Time rulers to measure the period of the digital waveform by clicking and dragging the small white squares (there are 2...

Re: Trace intermittently freezes (most of it) when settings changed

Hi Brett, What appears to be happening is that the usage is not changing because the processor is effectively not taking on any more processing (which is why the screen is freezing) while it deals with clearing the decks in what is currently being processed and working hard to do it (which is why th...

Re: How to genereate PWM by using AWG for Picoscope 2208B

Hi JoeD, This one is all about interpretation of the original question posted here. Forum questions are often phrased differently to the required literal meaning, I chose to discuss the most likely required PWM functionality by someone who is unaware of the full capability of the AWG in our PicoScop...

Re: Use multiple ruler pairs

Hi jpauloo,

You can use 'Deep Measure' from the Measurements Menu to give you multiple measurements of multiple pulses, and then export a CSV file to perform the stats in a CSV reading tool, such as Excel, Matlab, Wolfram, etc.

Hi hanane,

I apologise for the delay in answering, I have been on annual leave.

I would suggest that you look at the following Forum post, which answers your question: topic40358.html?&p=143430&hilit=Automation#p143430.

Re: Picoscope crash when exporting CSV

Hi ktung, There don't appear to be any issues of that nature with 6.14.44.5870 in general. Assuming that it doesn't crash the PC, could you send a psdata file with the same settings that crashes the PC, for the ns/div capture (or a us/div one if you can't create the ns/div one) along with a trace.xm...

Re: Reference waveform

Hi Steve, I've made a correction to my post, as I missed an important point (need to avoid steering people down the wrong path with that one :D ). If you are just trying to detect a difference, clearly you can't do it with a reference waveform as the reference is moving. However, you could do that w...

Hi Everyone, We are trying to cover as much as we can both on the forum, and on our help desk. However, unfortunately, the working from home 'new normal' seems to have created a lot more users making use of the opportunity to resolve some outstanding issues, experiment with ideas, or just learn some...

Re: Reference waveform

Hi Steve, CORRECTED 16/4/21 I got the file and I've just auto-arranged the 2 Spectrum plots and expanded the zoom to see exactly what is going on with the original signal and the Reference waveform that you created, and also added a Scope Mode view to see if there was any more waveform information t...

Re: Capture a dynamic time measurement between two different channels

Hi khaldrogo,, One thing I forgot to mention in my previous post was that you need to be able to guarantee isolated single pulses on each channel for the duration of the captures. If there is more than one pulse on a channel, the Math Channels will not work correctly (as you will have a mixture of c...

Re: Saving long range spectrum

Hi Peter,

We would need to know the details of what you are plotting (what the Timegate is, whether you are using a primary or secondary view for the plot, etc). So could you post the data file showing the Spectrum plot so that we can see exactly what you are doing.

Re: Capture a dynamic time measurement between two different channels

Hi khaldrogo, Sorry for the delayed response (I've been on leave). You didn't give any more detail about the pulses, so I'll assume that they are the same or similar, and one is always leading the other. What you can do is position the trigger near to the start of the capture, and then select a Time...
