Re: Text Box question

Glad to have helped. I've submitted an "Enhancement" request to our software engineers, but they have a very long to-do list. As a workaround perhaps you could just use the PrtScn key and make a screen shot of the application [edit: with the Notes box visible]. At least that would save you from rety...

Re: Text Box question

However, you can click "Edit" > "Notes" to add a Notes area to the bottom of the window. You can type any text in there. The notes appear when you print and are saved in PSDATA files, but do not appear when you save as a GIF.

Re: voltage limit for 2203

In the range 20-100V, the PicoScope 2203 will produce incorrect readings but will not be damaged. Above 100V you may damage the scope. When we quote an overload protection voltage, this is the MAXIMUM voltage that the protection circuitry can handle. As you say, you must always use an attenuator whe...

Re: uv absorbance measurement using picolog 1012

Hi new_pico, The PicoLog software, which is included on your Pico CD, is the best for this application. Plug in your PicoLog 1012, connect it to the UV sensor, run "PicoLog Recorder" from the icon on your desktop, do "File > New Settings", accept all the default settings and set the converter type t...

Re: Data in Text-format

You can export data to Excel directly from PicoScope 6. Capture your waveform and do "Save Current Waveform As". Set the "Save as type" option to "CSV (Comma delimited) files (*.csv)". This will save your waveform as a table of data in text format. You can open this file directly in Excel and the da...

Re: AC RMS vs. True RMS vs. AC-DC True RMS... How to calculate?

Marcn: "AC RMS" is the RMS of the signal after the DC offset is removed, and "True RMS" is the RMS of the entire signal including AC and DC. With PicoScope 6, you can measure power without using the RMS functions. Just set up a channel that equals voltage x current and then take the average (what Pi...

On the subject of publishing, PicoScope cannot directly produce PDFs but it does have a Print command. If you install a free PDF printer driver like PDFCreator or CutePDF, you can produce a PDF of any waveform or FFT that is displayed on the PicoScope screen, including the measurements table and rul...

Re: Oscilloscope Tutorial

In the section labeled as Resolution and Accuracy , how do you get 8 mV per step with an 8 bit resolution? Hi Carlo, The article you read says that "with a ±1 V range selected", 8 bits gives you 8 mV steps. This was calculated as follows. The voltage swing on a ±1 V range is from -1 V to +1 V, wh...

Aintzane, you should have received a manual with your data logger. I'm sorry if you didn't. You can now download the manual from our website at:

http://www.picotech.com/document/pdf/ad ... _guide.pdf (631 KB PDF).

It is designed to be printed double-sided and then folded.
