Re: Could not load type 'az' from assembly

Hi Cyril, This kind of error usually tells that one or more dlls are not available to the assembly. Assuming that contents of /opt/picoscope/lib is on your system as it would be extracted from picoscope package (plus libp* files as drivers) and MONO_PATH is set /opt/picoscope/lib ( or you use picosc...

Re: Installing when /opt is mapped to a network share?

Hi Martin, I'm glad the workaround for installation worked. Now, the usbtest script has confirmed that your permissions are set up correctly to operate the device. No need to follow the path of running the app as root. To get verbose output of the startup, run picoscope without management script: cd...

Re: Linux support for Picoscope 3200A series

Hi moatazsawi, PS3204A is supported via libps3000a driver. This driver has all the features available via programmable API as the windows driver. It is the PicoScope 6 for Linux that misses features. We are working on getting the same level of functionality between those two versions. Although Ubunt...

Re: Installing when /opt is mapped to a network share?

Hi Martin, The workaround I propose is to make a mount with bind to another folder. Assuming you have root permission (enter via sudo su), run the following: 1. Create folder where you want to keep picoscope files, ie /usr/local/picoscope mkdir -p /usr/local/picoscope 2. Create mount point in your N...

Re: Not able to download linux software

Hi erickung, I've checked logs for the server and I don't see any occurrence for 403 errors for the repository. Key update using wget worked for you which may point here to configuration of apt. Maybe there is a proxy specified? try this: apt-config dump | grep proxy If the command returns anything,...

Re: Intro of newbie

Hi magikqich, You can start by installing libps3000a driver as instructed at http://www.picotech.com/linux.html . Note that you may need to restart your system, as drivers upon first install create group permissions that need to become effective in all sessions. It will put example in /opt/picoscope...

Re: Beta Release of PicoScope for Linux

Hi Hiroshi, It seems the problem with continuous logging of this message has been introduced with new version of glib (which is being used in Ubuntu 14.04). Well, some say that glib has been actually fixed to properly report this error and all other applications are written wrong ;) We'll have look ...

Re: Thread safety - PicoScope 6402 series

Hi hmaarrfk, You could try dynamically loading another instance of libps6000.so to see if it works, ( should, but I haven't try that yet ;) ). The feature has been recognized some time ago and is in the current pipeline. However it has to be introduced in windows drivers first to allow porting to Li...
