Running Player while logging.

Hello Pico With the newer versions of PicoLog it is not possible to open the PLW file currently being logged with the Player. More specific - it CAN be opened, but the Player does only show the number of loggings - not the actual data. It seems to me as the problem (or bug?) is that the settings dat...

PicoLog Graph and Spreadsheet issue.

Logging are made over a relativly long time period with e.g. 12 sec. log interval. The graph are set to Scroll mode and everything works fine. BUT after ending the loggings and if I start a new logging or just Re-record, the graph does not return to "present time", and I have to manually scroll it b...

Re: TC-08 USB temperature readings fluctuate

I see you like to disassemble your instruments ... . . Usually no..., but when when the 4 inputs to the left drifted about 1-1,5 °C within 20 minutes, compaired to the 4 right inputs just because the converter was placed 50 cm from a labtop PC, I had to find the reason. As responsible for an...

Re: TC-08 USB temperature readings fluctuate

I hope they design the product better so it can be incorporated in experimental and production environments. Currently I think that a warning concerning its limitations should appear in the products description. You are so right! Another serious issue is that the TC-08USB's Cold Junction compensati...

Re: PicoLog r5.20.8 Monitor window

Hi Peter
Thanks for the answer. It's much easier to accept "strange" behavior when you know that you cannot do anything about it.

Could I humbly suggest it to be added to the SW departments "to do" list?

PicoLog r5.20.8 Monitor window

The layout of the monitor window has been changed in this latest version to a much more readable layout (changed fonts, lines etc.) and that is good. But the width of the columns are fixed and it seems not possible to change those widths permanently i.g. they revert to the default size after a resta...

Forget all about uncertainties at 0,06 °C for a TC-08. First of all, the internal CJC (Cold Junction Compesation) is made ekstremely primitive. It is just a single thermistor in air in the middle of the converter box, so only when the temperature around and indside the TC-08 is totally stable, the C...

Re: Solved

The computer power supply was connected to an insulating transformer thus eliminating the problem. I recommend that you improve the TC-08 design in order to eliminate such problems. It may result in a cost increase but I'm sure that some customers are willing to pay the additional cost. We had a si...

Re: Diagram for using LM35 with USB ADC-11

Hi Guys Does anybody have an diagram of how to connect an LM35 to the ADC-11? ///Thomas My experience comes from using ADC-16 and ADC-24: If you need to measure temperatures below zero degrees Centigrade, you need a negative supply too, and if your cable length is more than 2-4 meters you also need...

Re: Error due to lag in cold junction compensation

Perhaps Pico could think about addressing this problem in future. I think they should do so. We, as part of an accredited lab, uses the TC08-USB with all sensors (type-T) in some applications. The TC´s are of course calibrated and via calculated fit and some look-up tables and other neat software,...

I'm running Picolog r5.12.1 on some on my old w95 machines with the same W95 release (4.00.950a). It works fine for at least ADC-16, TC-08 and PT-104 loggers. If you cannot get that old release from Pico's support, send me an e-mail and i shall see if i can find the old release somewhere in my back-...

Chris, The LM35 reqiures a voltage supply of 4 to 30 volts. As the ADC-20 only operates at 2.5V you will need an external power supply to use it with the ADC-20. Regards, Richard Boyd Crag Technologies, Inc http://www.pc-oscilloscopes.com That is a strange answer, as according to the specifications...

Problems with downloads of software

I have run into some trouble when updating to the latest software version. As far as i can see, Pico has implemented a new way of installing the PicoLog (and Pico scope) SW. That is: I download a relative small installation program and then this program downloads and install the necessary files. Thi...
