Re: Why a limit of 256KiB on uploads to this forum ?

Thanks for follow-up Bennog. Windows screenshots are .png format and I don't feel I should have to convert to post to forum ( assuming it made a difference ). I had to crop these 500KB screenshots(1920x1028) because this forum interface reports "File too large: Screenshot (5).png". What good is a fo...

Re: PS 4444 100khz filter not working on CHB and CHD

FWIW, I had to crop these 500KB screenshots(1920x1028) because this forum interface reports "File too large: Screenshot (5).png". What good is a forum with such a constraint preventing people from uploading the most communicative piece of information possible ? (A .psdata file is too much work for s...

Re: PS 4444 100khz filter not working on CHB and CHD

it seems to be working here at least with number 29 ( FQ655/0029 ). I wanted noise so I just went looking and found something suitable. See attached before and after filter results for CHB ( identical with CHD ). Unrelated unplugging PicoConnect 441 probe from any channel interface causes 6.14.23.52...

Re: "PicoScope 7 Automotive Beta: Open To All" ?

Tried uploading an image, but like so many times in the past am unable to. In the past it would say too large file, but now it says nothing. On the news page of T&M website.

"PicoScope 7 Automotive Beta: Open To All" ?

I'm trying to understand this beta that is "Open to All", but only works with automotive scopes and is posted on the T&M website ? Feels like "here is what you could have if you had an automotive scope." Think it would be less misleading to say "demo mode for all."

Re: How do I Label Signals?

that this feature has been available in Picoscope 6 automotive since at least 2016 is the most damming to T&M and Pico Technology as it tells me that such features were purposely disabled or removed from the codebase that already had them. Something that would actually take effort. My sense is that ...

Re: Stop and Go buttons with spacebar and active window

Martyn, I understand what key is responsible for starting and stopping recording. The problem as stated is that if you interact with menus or anything other than the Picoscope view it becomes active and space bar no longer works until you click on the view to reactivate. Why can't Picoscope app itse...

Will PicoScope 7 interface make it's way to non-automotive ?

Will we see this interface and the possible advantages ( excluding the features specific to automotive scope ) for non-automotive scope ? Lot's of basic features discussed on this forum for years that didn't seem to be addressed that I might feel better about knowing that a new interface is on the w...

Picoscope retaining file handles

Hi Forum. Using PicoScope in the field today I captured a waveform and then saved it. I then captured another waveform and saved it with a different filename. I didn't like the name given to the first file so I went to File Explorer to change the name and when I pressed enter key to save my name cha...

Stop and Go buttons with spacebar and active window

I want a physical key ( e.g. spacebar ) to always toggle Stop and Go when PicoScope is the active window. The current situation is that Picoscope appears to be active, but as spacebar doesn't toggle Stop and Go I guess it isn't active and so I must quickly click on it and then press spacebar. Is the...

Re: Returning from suspend without having to restart Picoscope ?

new laptop, same problem. If laptop goes to sleep, 4444 cannot resume without having USB cord unplugged. The red LED on 4444 stays on until USB cord reconnected. Would appreciate hearing if somebody with 4444 is able to return from sleep and what suggestions Picoscope has about the problem. Per Mart...

Identifying noisy bearing in loud environment with oscilloscope ?

Hi Forum. I have a noisy environment with lots of bearings in which there is at least one bearing that is making excessive noise. I remember using stethoscopes for such things in the past, but I have a 4444 and as NVH accessory is automotive only (???) I wonder what would be a simple alternative ? I...

Re: How do I Label Signals?

and yet this feature exists ( I wonder for how long ? ) in Picoscope 6 Automotive which Pico says shares the same code base as Picoscope 6. So is this really about about "implementation" as suggested by Pico responses in this thread ? Why does it have to wait for Picoscope 7 when it exists in Picosc...

Re: Picoscope software 10MS/s streaming, 4444 capable of 50MS/s

Hi Benno. Good quantification of the constraint. The lack of response speaks to resource constraints. I too would like this answered as this feels like an unnecessary bottleneck.
