5000 series power supply

Hi,
I was wondering whether a 5243A (or 5244A) running with 2 input channels at 125MS/s could be powered up with a single USB ? I am hoping that the higher power requirements (1A or more) may only be required for the highest sampling rates and # channels. Thx
Regards,

Re: Dual Channel input and possible delay

ahem.... I forgot to place two 50 Ohm adapters at the front-end, which seems to solve the issue....

Dual Channel input and possible delay

Some possible issue with a scope acquiring simultaneousl with two channels Set up: Pico 4227 1 input signal, sine wave ~ +/- 2.5V , period ~ 8 microsec Measurement on PicoScope 6: Both Ch A and B on same +/- 5V input range, trigger is on channel A, level 0V. All good The signal feeds into both chann...

Re: 4224 bandwidth

Alright. THx Hitesh.

This would be a reasonable spec to add so it is clear what the instrument is capable of.
Best,

4224 bandwidth

Hi, I am planning to make some measurements with freq centered around 10MHz with the 4224 on the lowest 50mV Range. The specs mentions that the BW drops from 20MHz to 10 MHz with this vertical range setting. Do you have a typical attenuation plot so I can see where there is no attenuation on the sig...

Re: Different readings on ChA&ChaB - 4227

HI Martyn,

Direct connection, no terminators. Swapping cable has no effect. Acquiring A alone, then B alone produces the same results as seen as when acquiring both channels: Channel B shows the same artifact.
Thx.

PS: away from my desk until March 15.

Different readings on ChA&ChaB - 4227

Hi, I am working on an application where I need to acquire a given signal simultaneously on both channels A and B. I use a BNC splitter and BNC cables to connect to the digitizer. To test out the signal I apply a 5 V square wave on the split inputs. I have noticed a discrepancy between the reading o...

Re: Autotrigger in Rapid Block Mode

Hi, Is it still the case that the pico driver does not indicate whether a given capture was acquired from an actual trigger level being detected versus auto-triggering after a set delay (in the absence of the trigger condition)? What happens to a given data capture if I set the auto-trigger delay to...

Re: adc counts

Is there a function call equivalent to ps3000aMaximumValue for 4227 and 4224 ? There does not seem to be a corresponding call to the Max ADC with ps4000.dll
Thx

Re: Rapid Block Mode LabVIEW PS4224

Just noticing something here:

Does the above shifting issue occurs with a 4227 ??? It did with 4224, but now on a 4227 it does not...

Re: Rapid Block Mode LabVIEW PS4224

Ok, I applied a temp. fix that may be helpful. It builds on the previous example using LV DataReference and correct the "Wrap" by re-shifting each capture by one sample. As a result if one wants to acquire 100 samples, 10times (ncapture = 10), one should set the buffer to 100+10 samples. Then shift ...

Re: 4227 External Trigger

Thx Ziko for the clarification, it is helpful, and did not cause trouble. :D Still on the triggering topic with a 4224 or 4227 : - if I want to acquire on Channel 1, and trigger out of channel 2 ( or vice versa), can the range of the triggering channel be set differently than the other channel's (ac...

Re: Rapid Block Mode LabVIEW PS4224

Following up on this thread to obtain a Rapid Block Mode with a 4000 series scope, I changed the code using the ps4000.dll instead of the ps3000.dll . SDK: r10.4.3.1 LabVIEW 11.0.1.f2 Win 7 64 Pico 4224. The code looks like this: Capturecode.PNG Capture.PNG ps4000SetDataBufferBulk is used as many ti...
