i don't have the 2204A but i think this is possible with the 2204A too.

I do a sweep from an low frequency amplifier with gain 10 with the 5243A from 1kHz to 500kHz in 1kHz steps.

Only "500kHz_8Bit.png" looks correct.

I connect the function generator to input A with a BNC-cable.

I use PicoScope® 6 - PC Oscilloscope software version: 6.10.16.2 with PicoScope 5243A

I think otherwise the scope use 2 buffer.
One buffer samples and the other buffer transfer to PC.
