Re: Trigger when transmissions start or stop

The PSDATA files are these 2. https://www.ans-net.nl/picotech/exCHBstarttransmissions.psdata https://www.ans-net.nl/picotech/exCHBendtransmissions.psdata The end of transmission is not a big problem but triggering on the start and the end looks challenging. Maybe someone from picoscope can tel somet...

Re: Trigger when transmissions start or stop

Ok I got the files

Can I publish them here on the forum so the people can also have a look at them ?

Looks like some form of QPSK.
Are there stuff bits in the signal ?
So the longest time the signal is below 50 mv is always less than e.g. 64ns.

Re: Relating saved data to capture time

You can see it from the yellow diamond or the % value at the bottom of the screen.

See the red arrows for the trigger point.

Re: Relating saved data to capture time

The capture time in the property's screen is the time the capture is finished. So trigger time + the time of the waveform after the trigger point. e.g. you have a time scale of 1 sec/div (10 sec whole trace) and the trigger is alt 20% of the image then the capture time would be (100-20)=80% * 10sec ...

Re: Real time collection and analysis with Matlab

My main expertise is in C and C++.

I even can not tell you if MATLAB is fast enough to do tis at 10M values per second.

I know C and C++ can do it with ease, there are always programmers that can even produce code that even C is too slow 8)

Re: Issue with zoom on waveform

Can you post a .psdata file ?

Dit you install the latest updates from Windows and .net ?
Also the latest updates for the video drivers ?

I have seen this sometimes in the past when there are math channels in view, or internal data was corrupted (2015 or so, a long time ago)

Re: Real time collection and analysis with Matlab

Double buffering is the only solution I could think of. Everything you receive you put in a ring buffer, at least 2 or 3 times the number of samples you want. When there is enough data in the ring buffer you take the samples you want and analyze them. The extra samples you leave in the ring buffer f...

Re: Option for Actions: Wait Before Rearming Trigger

You can try running a program that wait x seconds and then stops executing.

On Linux / mac "sleep 5"
On windows "powershell start-sleep 5"

Both options wait 5 seconds.
I don't know if picoscope waits for the program to exit, if not then this is no option.

Re: Picoscope 5444D Python Example

The decoding of CAN signal is not in the SDK

Time measurement should be no problem.

Example code see below.

Re: TA189 30A difference in the rise/fall time

I had done the same measurements to compare different types of current clamps and a 0.1 ohm shunt. Below the rise times of various clamps v.s. shunt (TA300 can be compared to the TA189 I think) current clamp rise-times.png Below the fall times of various clamps. current clamp fall-times.png The ring...

You can not have the picoscope software running while you are using the SDK.
