Without seeing your circuit, it is difficult to say. If possible, try connecting a low voltage (<2.5 V) supply and see if you get the correct reading.

Hello You can connect a DrDAQ via USB using a USB to parallel port adaptor: http://www.picotech.com/accessories.html However, I don't think USB will work over 20 m. We have tested USB extenders in the past with not particularly good results. A brief report can be found here: http://www.picotech.com/...

Hi

Yes, you can. Go to file -> preferences -> colours.

Hi

We have tried this and been unable to recreate the problem.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Dear Julian I'm afraid that it's not possible to interface with PicoLog in this way. I think your best option would be to write your own software. The bullet point in the manual that you mention is referring to the ability of PicoLog to allow you to analyse saved data whilst collecting new data. Robin

Hi Pete Yes, the shortest timebase is 50 ns per division, which is 500 ns per screen. However, when thinking about speed, it is the sampling rate that is important. Using short timebases may just mean that you display fewer samples. Also, the bandwidth is important. The 2205 has a bandwidth of 25 MH...

Hello

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems.

I would stick with the latest version of PicoLog.

Can you give more details of what leads to the software crashing? Is the crash repeatable?

Regards

Hi

I'm afraid this is not possible. The space bar starts and stops the scope and any 'live' data displayed will change accordingly.

Hello

Ziko is currently away.

In the PicoScope software, it is possible to measure the peak value of a whole waveform, between two rulers or at a particular ruler.

It is not possible to perform peak detection and extract a series of peak values.

I hope this helps.

Hello Are you using a thermocouple or a thermistor? It is not possible to use thermocouples with DrDAQ, as there is no cold-junction compensation. Assuming that you are using thermistors, the lengths that you are describing should be acceptable. The thermistor has a high resistance, so the added res...

Crawford It sounds like your unit needs to come back to us. If you would like to return it, please send your contact details to support@picotech.com and we will issue a returns number. I think the warning message that you are describing is due to the drivers not being signed my Microsoft. This warni...

I forgot you're not using PicoScope 6. Resolution enhancement is an option in PicoScope 6 and, like oversampling, is effectively a moving average. If you use an oversampling factor of 2, for example, 2 samples will be acquired and averaged for every one sample read from the scope. So, it is a moving...

You should set your range to +/- 2 V or use a x1 probe.

Also, you might want to try turning resolution enhancement on.

Let me know how you get on.

Hello The bandwidth of the 2205 is 25 MHz and it has a maximum sampling rate of 200 MS/s. The 4 GS/s refers to when you are measuring repetative signals. In this case, the scope operates in equivalent time sampling mode. However, you are still limited by the 25 MHz bandwidth. The higher sampling rat...
