Re: Multiple use of 4424 units

HI this is not something you can do, you will have one instance per scope. The only other way to have them together is by writing your own software which obviously will take a little more work! Synchronisation between units is not a guaranteed process though as there is not specific trigger to synch...

Re: pico5203 offset problem

Hi Richie,

Have you tried this with nothing connected to the input?
Also what range is this offset on?
Is the offset the same on all ranges?

This looks most likely like a fault with the unit, please email support@picotech.com for further assistance.

Re: Data acquisition system required

Hi Unfortunately we do not have any product that can do all of these things, our ADC24, a 24 bit product, has a noise free resolution of 20bits and the ADC conversion time is 660 ms for one channel.

Re: 3205B - Is Ext Trigger The Same As Horizontal Input?

Hi Steffen, I didn't realise you were going to use the signal generator on the 3000 I thought you had a separate signal generator designed for this application. Just having a quick glance it looks like the signal is attenuated possibly because the probe is on the x 10 settings, although your image s...

Re: PicoScope 2204

Hi the trigger re-arm time of the 2204 is approximately 70 milliseconds on average (depending on PC and overheads). Looking at your application the 2204 will not be be sufficient what you really need is a device that has larger memory and has a rapid block mode capture. To explain further you will n...

Re: PicoScope 2204

Hi Francesco, I am not sure that I am 100% following, you say the trigger can happen every 0.01 - 1 second, this is between 10ms and 1 second, is this what you are saying? So is this what you mean by your detector response time? In any case the 2204 will probably have a trigger re-arm time between c...

Re: 3205B - Is Ext Trigger The Same As Horizontal Input?

It looks to me like you are used to a analogue phosphor scope, due to the triggering. Our scopes use digital triggering, you don't need to use the external triggering you can infact use another channel as a trigger. So in your case from the little I have read about IF alignment, I would have your sw...

Re: PicoScope 2204

Hi Francesco, You can trigger from channel B and then you will be able to view your data on both channels, the question I have is: I assume you are measuring more than one signal, if so how often does your signal happen? When you trigger what are you looking for, i.e. what does the signal look like,...

We do not do demodulator probes on our web page nor does our scopes have this feature embedded in them, could you describe to me your application.

Re: PicoLog 1216 data logger Compile error

I noticed that your openunit function does not have the handle in it, it should be :

Dim status As Long
status = pl1000OpenUnit(handle)
opened = handle <> 0

Have you had a look at the SDK, there is an excel example in there.

Re: Picoscope for fast DAQ

Ah ok no problem, you probably know this already but just in case, you can convert all waveforms to csv (if less than 1 million points per buffer) or .mat (unlimited).

Re: Picoscope for fast DAQ

Hi I just tested this on my computer and it works perfectly, following settings: 2us/div A pulse that repeats every 100 ms 5000 waveforms 10kS 500MS/s total time was 8 mins and 20 seconds, which equates correctly. The question I have for you is why do you want to capture all 5000 waveforms? You can ...

Re: Using EL037 as supply to sensors

Hi Sorry for the delay, been out of the office recently.

Yes you can supply 24V either directly into the Voltage pins for a each channel or via the 2pin terminal block, just make sure that the jumper is disconnected or just hanging of one of the pins.
