Hi,
Just to be certain, when you go to "Files\Setup\Converters" to select "ADC-212" you are selecting "USB-LPT1" and not "LPT1"?
That would cause this problem if you get it wrong.

Hi Andy, If you are monitoring car body vibrations, you need a good low frequency response. That means either a powered peizo accelerometer with a built-in amplifier or bare peizo accelerometer and separate charge amplifier. If you don't use a charge amplifier, you will lose most of your low frequen...

Hi Russ, Your decision will hinge on whether the 10MHz frequency response of the 3224 is high enough for your needs. If it is, go for the 2 chan 3224 or the 4 chan 3424 12 bit scopes. If you need speed more than resolution, go for the 5203 250MHz, 8 bit scope. At present, the new PicoScope 6 softwar...

Hi, I have taken a look at the spec for the accelerometer you propose and you will have to buy or make a small interface box. This will contain a capacitor, a resistor & a constant current diode. It will also need a +18V to +30V supply (possibly two PP3 batteries in series will do). You probably hav...

Hi, Just to be clear, did you install the TC-08 on the old Toshiba or the new Acer & Sony laptops? As always, next step is to un-install using the "Remove" option in the installer program and then do an install. If you will be using two different Pico devices on any PC, also tick the "Install for ot...

Hi,
First step is to do a full un-install. (Re-run the installer and select "Remove" instead of "Modify" or "Repair".) Then do a new install. Try that first and post again if you still have problems.

Hi Russ, The best pure audio scope we have is the 16bit ADC216 but it would be too slow for video work. It is also parallel port and only available while stocks last. Hi,
Are you sure that the ADC212/50 still works OK, using the same parallel lead on a normal printer port? Your message suggests either a faulty scope or faulty lead. Can you check this out first.
Regards,
PeterF.

HI Walter, Sorry for the delay. The Pico Differential Probe will do the job safely for you. It is on special offer at £165.75p. As a 100:1 probe it can take an input of 700V peak. Link below:- http://accessories.picotech.com/oscilloscope_probes.html If you need a USB to Parallel adapter for your AD...

Hi, To answer your questions:- 1/ Yes, analogue bandwidth of 200MHz is available on all ranges. The single shot sampling rate is reduced from 200M samples/sec for one channel to 100M samples/sec for each channel when two chanels are used. 2/ Input impedance is 1M ohm in parallel with 20pF. A 10:1 pr...

Monitor Current

To start with, I assume you are talking about a Valve Amplifier PSU. There are some safety implications here! If the voltage is above 200V DC then a 10:1 probe will still output over 20V which is greater than the scope maximum range (+/-20V). If you are within range you can measure either side of th...

Hi, I will try to answer your questions but there is also a very good tutorial on digital scopes at:- http://www.picotech.com/applications/oscilloscope_tutorial.html (1) On an 8 bit scope +/- 100mV range the LSB of resolution will be just under 1mV. (200/256=0.78mV) (2) The 3206 has a single shot sa...

About 250 MHz probes

Hi, Any 250Mhz 10:1 proble for a scope will be totallly unsuitable for a 50 ohm input Spectrum Analyser. The probe has a 9Meg resistor in parallel with a 10pF variable capacitor, the pair in series with the input signal. The input impedance of a scope is 1Meg in parallel with 40pF. The 9M/1M combina...

Hi Thomas, I'm afraid we can't offer any more suitable filtering above that which you are using at the moment. Most of our effort goes into getting a faster response! It should be easy for you to add an external fourth order filter in hardware, maybe built into your signal splitter box? Is that not ...
