If its a constant DC component you want to remove why not AC couple?

Re: Introduction and picoscope 2407B

Hi, Welcome to the forum! Have you tried the latest beta software as this has quite a few enhancements for touchscreen use. It installs alongside the stable version so if you have a problem you can go back to the stable one - I have been using it on my touchscreen laptop for a few weeks now & find i...

Re: PicoScope 3206 - Sampling rate

Hi, I think the problem is that you have set the max memory (no of samples) to be collected to 1 million - 1 million samples spread over 20 seconds is 50,000 samples per second. Increase the max no of samples to collect in the box to the right of the time/div setting and the sampling rate should inc...

Re: Min Max does not retain true min or max

Hi Scott,

Check also Tools / Preferences / General and you can change the number of captures that the measurement statistics are calculated over.

Hi,

Which version of PicoScope are you running - it will need to be PicoScope 5 or PicoScope for DOS for such an old product.

Re: Trigger on UART pattern?

If you use one of the deep memory oscilloscope then you can collect / decode huge amounts of serial data. The filter command can then be used to search / find any specific data string you are after. For the 2000 series with smaller internal memories this is still possible for slower serial protocols...

Re: Doubt about roll mode in Picoscope 2204A

Hi, The roll mode with the 2204A works a bit differently to the R&S scope as the PicoScope 2204A does not have the limitation of only working on un-triggered signals. It can capture pre-trigger data until a trigger occurs then scroll across the screen. In roll mode the scope uses PC memory to provid...

Re: PicoScope Beta 6.9.5: Duty cycle graphing

Hi,

I just looked at your data file and its difficult to see what edges you want to measure duty cycle between. When you zoom in you have positive spikes of about 200mV followed by negative of up to -1V (see below).

Re: Odd Channel Difference

Hi, Agree this looks odd but it is normal - let me explain. You are on a range which spans from -5V to +5V (a 10V span). The scope is an 8 bit scope which means the ADC can record 256 different levels. 10,000 mV / 256 = 39mV per step. You have zoomed in vertically by a factor of 10 and both traces a...

Re: Using picoScope 6.0 with DCC

Hi,

Try using a longer timebase 10ms/div or longer to capture more data. Also increase the memory depth to much more than the 3k shown.

Which PicoScope do you have?

Hi,

With no thermocouple plugged in to the channel what temperature does it read?

Are you set to degrees C or F?
