Re: PT-104 voltage measurement set-up

Hi Dave, Unfortunately, we are no longer recommending that customers use the PT-104 for Voltage measurement, and have removed references to this from our documentation and website, as a result. The reason for this is that it was originally designed as a high accuracy data acquisition device for meas...

Re: Rising and falling edge count

Hi Phil, You can just go through the entire captures, with an edge measurement (select the type that you want) and then at the end (or at any point in time) look at the delta value, If it is zero then there were no missing edges, while any other delta value would indicate missing edges. Re: Measure UHF sensor using Picoscope 5444D

Hi Darina, Unfortunately, you can't. The maximum Bandwidth of the 5000 series PicoScopes is 200MHz. However, you haven't specified exactly what it is that you want to measure from a UHF sensor. For instance if it is just the carrier wave then we have Sampling PicoScopes that can capture repetitive w...

Re: PicoScope has Scan Shift display mode?

Hi Richard, We are planning to implement this at some point in the future, so you can periodically check our updates on our downloads page here: https://www.picotech.com/downloads. Until then you could always download the last version of PicoScope 6 which had this feature, here: https://www.picotech...

Re: custom / linear units on logarithmic scale

Hi Doug, I'm responding to this quite late. Unfortunately there is no way to plot the non-referenced Logarithmic value of the Spectrum. You can modify the values in terms of slope and offset (or tabular values) using a custom Probe, but you can't implement math functions such as e^x (which you would...

Re: DC Average over time

Hi aahusain, I'm responding to this quite late, so if this is still an issue for you, there is a discussion on how to plot thr root-mean-square (RMS) value of a signal on the post here: https://www.picotech.com/support/topic29531.html?&p=149582&hilit=rms#p149582. You just need the 'mean' part of the...

Re: Clear waveforms

Hi Andy, I'm responding to this quite late, so if this is still an issue for you, then there is no clear function, as such, but one simple way would be to just turn off the Sig Gen and start a capture, However, if you are capturing the data of an external source then you would have to stop the data ...

Hi Gregor,

I'm responding to this quite late, so if this is still an issue for you could you post a diagram and image of your modifications, along with a PicoLog data file.

Re: Deadtime measurement

Hi Anna, To answer your question the dead-time in between captures for Rapid Block Mode/Rapid trigger mode captures is heavily dependent upon the time required to re-arm the Trigger (which, for instance, changes quite dramatically with the Sample Rate). I created a method to determine the re-arm tim...

Re: triple-value reading

Hi LBN, I'm responding to this quite late, but if this was not resolved for you, then I this answer may be helpful. You haven't provided any information regarding the sample rate that you are capturing the data at. Your plotted derivative looks like it has some kind of waveform envelope, which is wh...

Re: programmatically call (and download) math fn results?

Hi MWRoberson, I'm responding to this quite late, but if this was not resolved for you, you will need to explain your intention in more detail (and the reason for it) for us to help you. For instance, I'm not quite sure what you mean by (3) "download" Math1 as a downsampled waveform? You can capture...

Re: Time-delay on trigger

Hi Philippe,

I'm responding to this quite late, but if this was not resolved for you, then the answer is that you need to select one of the advanced Trigger types to access the delay option.

Hi Owen, I'm responding to this quite late, but the reason is to suggest that this is not the best resource to use for this type of question. Hi Aneri,

I'm responding to this post quite late, but I can't reproduce this in the latest versions of the software, I.e. PicoScope 7.1.2 or PicoScope 7.1.11 EA (see here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1H1H-Zz ... sp=sharing).

Re: Picolog out of range

Hi Paul, Just had a support request on our Helpdesk with a similar question, so I will paste my answer here. The issue is that, when the data being captured by the Logger goes out-of range of the Input Channel, It can’t be recorded as data (as a Manufacturer of Test & Measurement we are obligated to...
